Swiss Alps Ski: Verbier or Zermatt with your class
For a secondary group ready for the very best, the Swiss Alps deliver a ski week on another level. Verbier and Zermatt rank among the finest resorts in the world, vast, beautifully maintained ski areas set amid some of Europe's most dramatic mountain scenery. This is a premium programme for groups who want the complete Alpine experience, with the quality of snow, terrain and instruction to match.
The choice of resort shapes the character of the week. Zermatt is car-free and unforgettable, skiing beneath the iconic pyramid of the Matterhorn with access to high-altitude glacier runs that hold snow superbly. Verbier anchors one of the largest linked ski areas in the Alps, offering enormous variety and terrain to suit every level. Both pair world-class slopes with classic Swiss mountain villages.
At the core of the week is daily professional instruction. Groups are taught by qualified instructors and split by ability, so complete beginners progress quickly on the nursery slopes while stronger skiers are stretched across more challenging terrain. With a picnic or mountain lunch between sessions and full days on the snow, the improvement over a week is striking, and the sense of achievement considerable.
Off the slopes, the trip offers Alpine village life and an evening social programme that builds real camaraderie. A ski week in the Swiss Alps asks for effort and resilience and rewards it generously: students return fitter, more confident, closer as a group, and with a sport, and a set of memories, that many will carry for life.
