Q: Will I learn Castilian or Catalan in Barcelona?

You learn standard Castilian Spanish - the Spanish understood across Spain and Latin America. Catalan is also spoken in Barcelona, but all our courses teach Castilian, so your skills travel anywhere in the Spanish-speaking world.

Q: Do I need to speak Spanish before I go?

No. On arrival you take a placement test and join a class matched to your level, from complete beginner (A1) to advanced (C2). Spain's relaxed, sociable street life makes it easy to practise from the first day.

Q: Are the schools in Spain accredited?

Yes. Our Spanish partners are recognised by the Instituto Cervantes, Spain's official benchmark for Spanish language teaching, with qualified teachers and vetted host families or residences.

Q: Do EU students need a visa to study in Spain?

No. As Spain is in the EU, EU/EEA citizens study visa-free for any length of stay. Non-EU students may need a study visa for longer courses - we confirm what applies to you before booking.
