Why learn Italian in Florence?

Florence is a city you learn in as much as visit. Compact and walkable, it's an open-air museum where the Duomo, the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio are part of your daily commute - and where speaking Italian over a coffee or in a market feels utterly natural.

It suits every profile: students and art lovers drawn to its history, juniors after a safe and inspiring base, and adults combining a course with la dolce vita. Whatever your level, you'll be placed in the right class from your first morning.

Life in Florence beyond the classroom

Florence makes culture effortless. Our activity programme covers the Uffizi and Accademia (home of Michelangelo's David), the climb up the Duomo, the artisan workshops of the Oltrarno, cooking and gelato classes, and weekend trips to Siena, Pisa and the Tuscan countryside.

Getting around is best on foot - the centre is small and made for walking - with trains linking the rest of Tuscany. Accommodation places you within 20–35 minutes of your school, in an Italian host family or a central residence.
