Málaga, Spain with your class
Groups visit the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro fortresses for a panoramic view over the city and a lesson in Moorish architecture, then explore the Picasso Museum before an evening flamenco performance. The compact historic centre, the lively Atarazanas market and the beach waterfront give pupils a vivid, sensory experience of Andalusian life.
A short, affordable flight from Belgium and a consistently sunny climate make Málaga an excellent spring or autumn cultural trip. On the Move manages all logistics, booked visits and the full programme.
Trip highlights
The Alcazaba palace-fortress, built in the 11th century, and the Gibralfaro castle above it offer one of the finest panoramas in Andalucía — and a concrete lesson in Moorish architecture, Islamic Spain and the Christian Reconquest that shaped European history.
Málaga is Picasso's birthplace, and the Picasso Museum occupies the 16th-century Buenavista Palace in the heart of the old town. The collection covers all periods of his work, giving students the full arc of one of the twentieth century's defining artistic careers.
An authentic flamenco show — guitar, dance and cante jondo — in a traditional Málaga venue. Flamenco is not entertainment here; it is an expression of Andalusian identity, grief and joy. Students leave understanding the difference between watching and experiencing a culture.
The 14th-century Atarazanas market — a former Islamic shipyard converted into a covered market — gives a vivid sensory experience of Andalusian food and culture. The seafront promenade and the beach beyond complete the picture of a city where ancient history meets a very modern Mediterranean life.

Yes, and we encourage it. The most effective language trips blend morning classes with afternoon cultural experiences where pupils use the language naturally. We design the programme around your educational objectives and group.
